We offer a range of HVAC services including installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. We repair and service all major brand heating and air conditioning systems.
We recommend getting your HVAC system serviced at least once a year to ensure it is running efficiently and to catch any potential issues before they become major problems. Having your system serviced annually will improve efficiency, cut down on your power bill, and extend the life of your system.
We work with a variety of HVAC systems including central air conditioning, ductless mini-split systems, heat pumps, and furnaces. We work on all brands and will always check if your system has a manufacture warranty.
The cooling process, especially in high humidity Florida, produces condensation that needs to exit the indoor unit to the outside. Your air conditioner is equipped with a condensate drain line and drip pan to handle the flow of this moisture. If these components become clogged, moisture can back up into the system and leak on your floor.
There are several reasons your a/c is freezing up and in some cases it's more than one. The usual problem is bad air flow whether its from a dirty filter, inside fan not running or running slow, dirty and packed evaporator coil, or major holes in your ductwork. If your refrigerant, or freon as most people call it, is leaking and low that can cause the unit to freeze.
Currently heating and cooling systems are designed for 70 degrees of heating and 75 degrees of cooling. We recommend that you set the temperature at what feels comfortable for you since it is a home comfort product. Once you find that comfortable temperature setting we recommend you leave it.
When using a 1" thick standard filter we recommend replacing every 30 days. It may be longer in the winter since the unit will not be running as much. Several filters claim to be 90 day filters, but we recommend checking it at least every 30 days. Dirty filters are the most common cause of problems we find. A good reminder is to check it every time you pay your electric bill.
